About
I've been on the radio since I was twelve. In 1983 I talked my way onto the Saturday overnight shift at WGUD in Pascagoula, Mississippi, by telling them I was eighteen, and I've never been able to stay away from the building since.
Over the next twenty years I worked eleven stations along the Gulf Coast, from Pensacola to Biloxi to Mobile, as a jock, music director, program director and station manager. Three of them were stations I grew up listening to. I've done voiceover the whole way through, and still do.
Today I own Power88.FM in Fairfield, California, and host the Shannon.Show weekday mornings from 6 to 10, playing the greatest hits of the '70s, '80s and '90s for Solano County. I'm also the Voice of the Solano County Fair. Small-market radio isn't a smaller version of big radio. It's a different job, and it's the one I love.
